Our Ethos
Going with the mantra that life is too short and also full of wonder we refuse to believe that a funny story is in any way a ‘lightweight’ story. Stories that make us laugh open up our hearts and minds which can allow us to experience the world from another's point of view and can transform how we see the world.
In a world full of negativity and issues that polorise humanity we look for work that allows a collective experience of joy. Some might say that it is naive to think that a story can change peoples minds but this is exactly what we know to be true.
All of us hold the power to change our world and here at Persiflage we have made the decision to do so through telling stories that get overlooked or dismissed.
Persiflage Productions is a safe and supportive creative environment for our collaborators; we do this by demonstrating that leadership begins with listening, collaboration and kindness.
We have a made a commitment to keep striving in our work towards meaningful Equality.
Which stories we chose to tell, who we collaborate with, where we share that work and who gets to perform that piece are all part of the questons we ask before taking on a project.
We want our passion for storytelling, inspiring and engaging diverse audiences in meaningful ways to also be a vibrant and inclusive space for all.
The Future is GREEN
At Persiflage we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and reaching carbon net zero. As such we have begun our journey with Theatre Green book to a more sustainable future.
Our next production will hit the Theatre Green Book basic standards. This means that at least 50% of production assets used in the show (costumes, props, set) should be sourced from reused or recycled materials and at least 65% should go on to be reused.
